In 2004, GADS signed an agreement with the New York & Atlantic Railway to begin exporting a portion of the construction and demolition debris they handle via containers on flat cars (COFC).[1] Using the LIRR Bushwick Branch railroad tracks just south of the transfer station has allowed GADS to eliminate approximately 20 outbound tractor-trailer trips per day.
