Humane Society of Chittenden County

Mission:  A private and independent not-for profit organization serving Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.  The HSCC mission is to foster compassionate treatment of animals and to prevent animal suffering.

Hosts frequent tours of the shelter to children of all ages; scout troops, civic clubs, and schools.  Promotes animal sheltering and welfare through presentations. 

Camp Paw Paw is a humane education camp for children ages 9-12.  Through the Good Neighbor Program, SCC also provides temporary free shelter for pets during times of crisis and transition for owners.

Seeks volunteers.
