'The Youth Group is for people who want to not only volunteer to help the Portuguese Cultural Center, but also our community. We do all types of volunteer events and activities. The Sons of Portugal Scholarship was established in 1965 with the primary objective of recognizing and rewarding academic excellence among students of Portuguese descent. Scholarship awards ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 are given to high school seniors and college students seeking a bachelors degree in an approved undergraduate program of study.
