The mission of the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance quality of life of all the citizens of Burlington and for the visitors to our community.

Manages 32 parks and facilities comprised of over 550 acres of land.

Sponsors four major annual public events, operate ice arena, oversee community gardens.

Operates Burlington Kids Afterschool Program, a collaboration between Burlington Parks and Recreation and The Burlington School District. The program runs from the end of the school day until 5:30pm at CP Smith, JJ Flynn, Edmunds and Champlain elementary schools.

For youth: Many volunteer opportunities; seasonal and other employment opportunities.
