A Citizen Police Academy is conducted twice a year as part of Messalonskee High School’s Adult Education program. 

D.A.R.E. is taught by school resource officer in the Middle School. 

The department is actively involved in the Learning for Life Program, a collaborative effort between officers, school teachers, and the Boy Scouts, to create opportunities for learning through fun activities.
