Swan Island is a state-owned wildlife management area with abundant wildlife including migrating waterfowl, wild turkeys, white-tailed deer, and bald eagles.

Provides interpretive programs for students to learn about wildlife along the tidal river. Hosts historical reenactments and guided bird walks.
