Mission is to “Change Lives!” Relative to youth services in particular, the Salvation Army wants “to make sure that all children have the opportunity to learn and prosper in a safe and compassionate environment.”  Youth programming is designed to strengthen kids for a healthy future as well as strengthen their families.

Salvation Army provides a variety of programs to support youth, including summer camp and afterschool program.  The Fall River Salvation Army provides Gentle Arms, a residential program for teen mothers and their babies. Young mothers receive instruction in parenting and life skills, tutoring, budgeting skills workshops, and job readiness training.
