Old Colony YMCA YouthBuild is a comprehensive youth-development program that allows young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who have not been successful in school or the workplace an opportunity to plot a new course for their lives. 

Students engaged in YouthBuild alternate weeks between an academic setting and a vocational one and work toward a GED while they develop vocational skills.  The students complete the construction of a new single family "green-built" home that will be sold to a low income, first-time homeowner.

Part of Public Schools District Community Partnership.  Also, collaborates with RPS on the summer program, and YouthBuild staff supervise RPS students who are employed in service learning projects in the Fall River community.


Academic program combined with service learning opportunities for youth, including home construction, vocational skills development.
