Mission:  Located in Kennebunk, Maine, the Astronomical Society of Northern New England is an all-volunteer non-profit educational organization founded in 1982 to promote public awareness of astronomy.

Offers free courses and an opportunity to peer through the Starfield Observatory’s mounted telescopes.  The amateur astronomy club meets first Fridays of the month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge of West Kennebunk.

ASNNE encourages schools, scout troops and other community groups to contact us for presentations, observing sessions and slide shows. These programs are free.  In addition, ASNNE holds monthly business meetings with strong educational components.
