Mission:  To deliver emergency services to the City of Portland and protect its well-being through preparedness, prevention and education.

Conducts public safety campaigns re: poisons, back-to-school safety; bicycle helmets; using candles; etc.  May be a rich learning resources for youth interested in public health.

Associated with Portland Firefighters’ Burn Foundation, which provides assistance to burn victims, is a resource to hospitals and rehab centers, and hosts an annual winter burn survivors camp for children 13 to 17 years old. There is no cost to the camper or their family.

Seeks volunteers.
