The Permanent Habitat Module (PHM) (2001) was designed to help restore previous lake conditions prior to industrial contamination. Although the original goals of increasing fish biomass in the lake were not achieved, it did create wetland habitat in the lake which is important to amphibians, reptiles, birds, and emergant vegetation.
