Type of compost system:   6 bin system made with slats of concrete board;

• 3 bins for food and yard waste- fresh material put into Bin #1 to start, turned into bin #2,  then into finished compost in bin #3,
• Bin #4 is for screened, ready to use compost,
• one bin for pre-mixed browns,
• one bin for garden yard waste from members to chop and drop

Number of active composters:   The majority of our 60 members contribute their plant waste, and about 20 people bring food from home.

Directions, compost memberships offered (if applicable, what is the fee?) compost volunteers welcome:  :  Our garden has composting as an activity at all of our six yearly work days; we host monthly evening workshops for members to learn about composting. In addition, we are proud to have a composting toilet.
