In the Spring/Summer of 2006, Solar Design Associates installed a horizontal rooftop array that generates 50 kW of power. Octagon Park Apartments monitors their energy output and corresponding weather data and publish the informnation to the web. In addition to this solar system, Octagon Park Apartments upholds a commitment to sustainability with a new composting program and community garden.
